Me & Gnome, not a Match made in Heaven

Me and Gnome. Not a heavenly match. And, per usual, I went gaga over the restrictive Gnomish way of doing things.

Gotta give it to them: it is consistent, and many features just work. It is just not for me, most of all (besides theming etc.) because it doesn't fit my preferred workflow: I like my applications to open on specific workspaces or tags or whatever and immediately shift focus to them.

Not only Gnome, it is also one of the reasons I don't really gel with Niri: I always lose track of where my applications are in that scroll.

This all at a moment when I just started rolling my own Slackware pkgs, most notably the browsers i use (Librewolf and Brave-Origin).

I already had one Slackware install running, the great KDE Slim by jloc0. But making those pkgs for just one install (and the community of course) felt a bit sparse.

Then, in a sudden flash of regained memory I remembered 3 things to do:

Guess what I'm doing now? Back in the fold! Keep you posted!
